Ear candling is an effective way for the removal of ear wax especially if you have an impaction of wax in your ears, or are even possible a little hard of hearing. It is quite common for people to feel lighter and clear headed after the wax removal treatment.

Ear Candling uses a paraffin ear candle inserted into the client's ear, while lying on their side to for the wax removal.

During the ear candling session, the open end of the candle is lit. The ear candle is placed through a paper plate, with foil or a pie tin to protect against any hot wax or candle ash falling onto the client. The flame end of the ear candle is trimmed down approximately every inch and then extinquished 3-4 inches from the end of the candle by spraying water. The flame creates negative pressure, therefore drawing wax out of the ear canal so the removal of ear wax is sucked into the bottom portion of the candle. When the candle has burned down, the flam is extinguished, and then removed, and the top remaining portion of the candle is cut off so you can see the wax that has been sucked out of the ear.

A session lasts around 30-40 minutes with doing both ears. Candling ears can leave the feeling of being able to hear more clearly and a sense of lightness in the head.
